- Saturday, August 2nd, 2025 – Annual Open House (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 .pm.)
Bring your family for Hands-on Demonstrations, Live Music, and Homemade Pie!!! – This is in conjunction with the Newell Watermelon Days Annual Town Celebration on August 1-3, 2025 - Saturday, August 2nd, 2025: Cemetery Walk – 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Newell Cemetery.
- Saturday, August 23, 2025: 4th Annual George Allee Memorial Golf Tournament at Newell Golf Course.
- September (TBD), 2025 – Annual ISU Ag-citing event for area schools
- September (TBD), 2025 – Farm Safety Day for area third grade students
- December 2, 2025 the NHS will host a Christmas Tour of Newell Homes from 1-4 starting with an Open House at the Victorian-decorated Allee Mansion. Father Christmas will be available for pictures. Several local homeowners have generously agreed to open their festive holiday homes to wish you a Merry Christmas
- Sunday, December 7, 2025: 1-4 PM – Christmas Open House at the Mansion
ISU ANNUAL AG-CITING
September (TBD) 2025: Ag-citing Days at the Iowa State Research Farm outside of Newell, involves fourth-grade students from area schools spending the day at the farm. Activities include learning stations about farm products, animals, safety, crops and occupations in agriculture.

AREA TRACTOR RIDES
In past years tractor rides have made the Allee Mansion a destination, stopping by for rolls and coffee on their journey. There have been as many as 60 traveling in the group and parking on the lawns of the mansion. It’s a great opportunity to enjoy the countryside as well as a tour of the mansion.
VISITING CAR CLUB
On September 29, 2023, 22 members of the Sioux Center Car Club drove their antique/vintage cars to the Mansion and enjoyed a tour. The car lineup was very impressive!
