Explore the many artifacts collected by world traveler Keith Carter in the unique Arab Museum. Keith visited over 100 countries in his life time. The collection includes original water color, pencil and batik art work, hand woven tapestries and prayer rugs, and rare hand hammered copper and brass coffee and tea pots. Fabric appliquéd designs interpret Egyptian lifestyles. Individual items have interesting stories connected to them. Many of these treasures he collected are on display at the Mansion.

Newell High School Memorabilia

Did you grow up in Newell? Memorabilia of the Newell, Newell-Providence and now early Newell-Fonda school districts is finding a new home in the room beside the Carter museum. Volunteers are in the process of organizing new displays.

The NHS has a collection of Newell School memorabilia dating back to the first country schools in the Newell area including 19th & 20th century graduating class pictures, trophies, group and sports teams pictures. Many items are cataloged in ten year files including year books starting in the early 1930’s. Additional memorabilia is always welcomed.
